What is a company brain?
A company brain is one place every person and AI tool can ask about the business and get the current answer, with sources. To earn the name it has to see everything, stay current, answer with sources and take new knowledge back. We go through those four tests in what is a company brain.
Do I have to build or migrate anything?
No. Context Link connects to the places your business already lives and reads them where they are. You don't copy your wiki into a new tool or re-file your docs. The one thing you add is Memories, for decisions that were never written down anywhere.
Is this the same as training ChatGPT on my business?
No, and you don't need to train anything. Context Link retrieves the right passages from your connected sources at the moment you ask and hands them to the AI, so answers reflect what your docs say today. It does not train AI models on your data, credentials are encrypted at rest, and you can disconnect a source at any time.
How does it find the right answer?
Each source is split into passages and embedded into a vector index, so a question matches on meaning rather than exact words. A tuned scoring step then ranks the matches, blending similarity with the weighting you give each connection (and each mode, such as sales or support), and boosting passages whose tags or titles fit the question. Thin boilerplate is filtered out, and every answer cites the passages it used.
How is a company brain different from an AI knowledge base?
Under the hood it works like one: connected sources, semantic search, cited answers. The difference is the starting point. A knowledge base is usually something you write and curate; a company brain built on Context Link is the content you already have, connected. Is it for the whole team or just me?
Both. Organisation connections are shared with everyone, and personal connections stay private to the person who added them, so each person asks across the shared brain plus their own sources. Which AI tools can read it?
Claude through a custom connector, ChatGPT through the Context Link app, and MCP clients including Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and Codex. Retrieving context, saving Memories and reading them back work on any active plan; one-paragraph answers with citations need a Pro plan.
What if my tool doesn't have a connection?
Use custom connections. Your AI fetches the data from any service it can reach, converts it to markdown and pushes it into Context Link, where it's searched and cited like everything else.
